The Diocese of Gallup offers courses in preparation for the following ministries:

  • permanent deacon
  • parish administrator
  • pastoral life coordinator
  • liturgical coordinator
  • parish manager
  • director of religious education

Preparation for the permanent diaconate takes four years, parish administrator requires three years and the remaining are two-year programs. Adults who wish to participate in a course or courses solely for personal enrichment without intending to complete training for a particular ministry may do so. The intent of these courses is to provide academic training and adult religious education. They are not intended as a means of earning academic credits. All classes are at Sacred Heart Retreat Center on the following weekends:

This course will strive to understand the nature of the prophets and their message, and in particular to shed light on their prophecies and in the fulfillment thereof in Christ.

The purpose of this course is to understand more fully what liturgy and sacraments are so that their salvific content can be celebrated, explained and lived well.
