Dear Fathers, Deacons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Gallup,
In just a few days, on the great solemnity of the Annunciation, our Holy Father Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Knowing the grave need for such a consecration, the desire of our Blessed Mother for the same, as well as the fruit that always comes from being closely associated to the Heart of our Lady, I would like to encourage all of you to join in this consecration, each in your own parish and home. I am including a prayer of consecration with which you can do this.
This would best be done at 9:00 a.m. MST (Arizona)/10:00 a.m. MDT (New Mexico) on 25 March AD 2022, so as to be in prayer at the same time as the Holy Father in Rome. I suggest beginning with an act of contrition, for we must always begin with a recognition of our sinfulness before our Merciful Father. In this way we also beg pardon for the sins of the whole world. Then continue with the consecration prayer, and perhaps a decade of the Most Holy Rosary for peace in the world and the protection of the Church.
Let us pray for one another, and may God bless you abundantly this Lenten season.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Yours in Christ,
+James Seán Wall

Prayer of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
(by Venerable Pius XII)
Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world. Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.
O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.
We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home. Amen.
