Dear Members of the Parishes in the Diocese of Gallup,

Peace and all good to you!

As part of my introduction to serving in this diocese in catechesis, one positive dimension is our Bishop’s vision in offering adult education and specifically, catechist formation, through the Catechetical Institute of Saint Francis University in Steubenville,  OH.  At no cost to us individuals, we can access ‘tracks’ of videos on certain topics to gain insights, knowledge, and certification for serving in our parishes and schools.  Individual reflection and journaling are parts of the online classwork, but I am hoping that we can move into small groups to share the content of these sessions as a journey together for our diocese and our people.

I have begun the ‘Catechetical Mentorship’ track of formation so as to accompany others in their individual work online toward certification as they complete these training opportunities.  I hope you will join us and invite others to come along!  You do not need to be a catechist or a teacher yet to access and enjoy this formation in our faith.  You do need to identify your parish when you sign up, though!  Please follow these instructions:

1. Click the following Link – SIGN UP LINK
2. If you have ever made an account, Sign in (and skip to step 6)
3. If you have never made an account, click “create a new account.”
4. If you are creating a new account, fill out all the information. It will not let you create an account until you have at least filled out all the areas with a red asterisk.
5. Then click “Create new account” at the bottom of the page.
6. Select your correct school or parish and then click “Sign Up”
7. You will then have access to the content on your dashboard whenever you sign in at franciscanathome.com

As an Administrator of the participants of the Catechetical Institute, (along with Deacon Timo Lujan and Fr. Isaac Ogba) I will be able to see when you sign up, which classes you wish to take, and I could serve as your mentor in the process.
